Construction Begins on New Skin Care Salon

ElàMar Esthetics Boutique to be located in Sylvan Supply on Charlotte Ave

Construction has begun on a new medical aesthetics practice, ElàMar Esthetics BoutiqueDowdle Construction Group is completing the company’s build-out of a 3,347-square-foot space in the Sylvan Supply retail and office development on Charlotte Avenue in West Nashville. Dryden Architecture + Design (DAAD) is serving as the architect and Quest Design Group as the engineer.

This will be ElàMar’s second location – the original is in Decatur, Ala. – offering luxury medical aesthetics and skin care services, including botox, dermal fillers, facials, microneedling and more, with the mission to “help you feel beautiful.”

The exterior of the space will feature a living wall, a painted copper sign and metal mesh ceiling details. The interior will feature a copper-railed staircase that leads to the main lobby with pink terrazzo floors, blush walls and a 13-foot reception desk made of custom laminate. The retail area and waiting room will have modern industrial, custom-stained concrete flooring, high-gloss cabinets finished in antique rose and copper shelving with concealed LED strip lighting to optimize the display of products. The space also includes a numbing lounge and six treatment rooms with abstract, paint-stroke wallpaper lining the corridor in between.

The exciting challenge of this project is turning an empty space made of concrete and steel into an inviting and relaxing skin care boutique, but DAAD has designed a great new space for ElàMar. We’re grateful that they asked us to partner with them on this project,” said Dowdle Construction Group Principal Glynn Dowdle. “Having worked on the adaptive reuse project L&L Market – and many of the build-outs within the space – we’re well-accustomed to projects like this, and we’re excited to add another one to our portfolio.”

Construction is expected to be completed in late November, and the salon will open shortly thereafter.
