Korey Benedict to help oversee two projects at Fifth + Broadway

Dowdle Construction Group announced today the addition of Korey Benedict as an assistant project manager. Benedict will be working with partner Allen Buchanan overseeing two projects at Fifth + Broadway: Blanco and the Twelve Thirty Club.

Benedict joins Dowdle from Alston Construction in Nashville, where he served as project engineer for three years. Prior, he worked in various industries, including plumbing, auto sales and insurance before landing in construction.

“Korey brings a diverse range of experience to Dowdle that complements our work well, and he will be a significant asset to our team,” said Dowdle President Glynn Dowdle. “He’s worked in both sides of the construction industry, doing manual labor as well as managing projects, so he really understands all that goes into a construction job. And his sales experience lends itself to being a genuine people person, making him a great fit with us.”

Benedict’s past projects include a five-story office building at 1 Music Circle South, an office buildout for BMG and, most recently, several large warehouses.

“I feel like I am exactly where I am supposed to be,” said Benedict. “Everyone I spoke to when coming to Dowdle all echoed the same thing: Dowdle is great to work with, and they are just good people. I can say this has proven to be absolutely true, and I look forward to a long and successful career at Dowdle.”

A native of Manchester, Tennessee, Benedict earned his construction management degree from MTSU in 2016.

This announcement appeared in the Nashville Post, the Nashville Business Journal, the Nashville Ledger and the Tennessean.
