Madison Urgent Care Building Being Converted into Popular Fast-casual Chicken Restaurant

Pollo Campero Madison slated for November completion

Construction is now underway at fast-casual chicken chain Pollo Campero’s new location, announced Dowdle Construction Group, the general contractor on the project.

The new space, located at 1616 Gallatin Pike N. in Madison, Tenn., marks the chain’s second location in the Nashville area. The 4,300-square-foot building previously housed an urgent care walk-in clinic.

“Dowdle built Nashville’s first Pollo Campero in 2017, so we were excited that they chose us for this new location as well,” said Dowdle Project Manager Kyle Swarm. “It’s been great working with the Pollo Campero team again.”

Pollo Campero specializes in flavorful chicken and a wholesome menu focused on individual and family meals. It opened as a family-owned restaurant in Guatemala in 1971 and expanded into the U.S. in 2002.

“When we began plans for another Nashville store, we knew Dowdle would be up for the task, as they did a great job on our previous location,” said J.C. Toribio, a representative for Pollo Campero. “We are looking forward to opening this location in Madison and hopefully expanding even further in Nashville.”

Collaborating with Dowdle on the project are Remick Architecture, S+H Engineering (civil) and Wilson & Girgenti (MEP). Construction is scheduled to finish in November. The restaurant plans to open in February 2023.
