About This Project

A more modern building and design, the Edmonson Pike Library branch boasts colorful, open and inviting spaces. The renovations to the 15,000-square-foot library branch were a design-build effort between Street Dixon Rick Architects (now Orcutt|Winslow) and Dowdle Construction. The work included constructing new study rooms, community meeting rooms and a teen room. Called Studio NPL, it is an innovative, technology-driven learning environment for teens aged 12-18. Daily, mentor-led workshops focus on building 21st century skills in STEM, digital literacy and career readiness. Studio NPL provides an environment for teens to explore their passions, whether that’s engineering, filmmaking, graphic design, music or anything else.
