Dowdle Construction Group completed the interior build-out of Nashville Blonde Salon, a 2,299-square-foot tenant space at 755 Crescent Centre Drive in Franklin, Tennessee. The project brought an established blonde-specialty salon concept into the Middle Tennessee market, transforming an existing commercial shell into a fully built-out home for color, extensions, and styling services. Work included selective demolition of the existing space followed by new interior partitions, finishes, and building systems, along with coordination across electrical, HVAC, fire protection, flooring, glazing, and millwork trades to bring the space to a finished, move-in-ready condition on a compressed retail-buildout schedule, from commencement to substantial completion in roughly four months.
A standout feature of the finished space is its two-level layout, connected by a custom wood-tread staircase that anchors the mezzanine above the main salon floor. Framed mirrors throughout the space support the stylists’ day-to-day work, while warm brick accents add texture and warmth to the interior, striking a balance between a polished retail environment and the relaxed, personal feel guests expect from a neighborhood salon. Custom millwork and finish carpentry throughout tie the two levels together into a single, cohesive design.
Dowdle worked closely with Comma Designworks throughout design and construction to translate the salon’s vision into a finished space built for both stylists and their clients. The result is a bright, welcoming environment in the heart of Franklin’s Crescent Centre corridor — a space designed to support Nashville Blonde’s continued growth as it establishes itself in a new market, just as it has in its original Arizona location.
