About This Project

The North Carnegie Library originally opened in 1915, and it is the oldest of Nashville’s existing library buildings. Dowdle performed an interior renovation, careful to preserve its original interior features and finishes, most of which were still intact. We also installed a new clay tile roof.

Susan Drye, Associate Director for Administrative Services for Nashville Public Library, said, “Nashville Public Library has had the pleasure of working with Dowdle Construction on several small and large renovation projects. The superintendent has excellent communication skills and gives great attention to detail for all aspects of the project. I feel confident recommending Dowdle Construction Group for any small or large project.”
