About This Project

Partnered with the Monen Family Restaurant Group, Dowdle completed construction on the local favorite Taco Mamacita in February of 2023. Previously located in Edgehill, regulars from the original Nashville location can expect all their original favorites, along with exciting new menu additions.

Taco Mamacita’s building was constructed in 1939 for the Salvation Army. In 1973, Little’s Fish Market started calling the Germantown spot home. Little’s closed their doors in 2021, after nearly 50 years of serving Nashville.

The restaurant features an indoor/outdoor bar, raked plaster walls, and colorful light fixtures.

Taco Mamacita’s flagship restaurant opened in Chattanooga in 2008, and with immediate success, went on to open in Nashville’s Edgehill neighborhood in 2009 and Sullivan’s Island in South Carolina in 2010. For the Monen Family Restaurant Group in Nashville, it joins Dowdle-built Milk & Honey and HiFi Clyde’s.
