Dowdle Construction Group Adds Controller
Lori Hanning to help oversee financial and accounting reporting
Dowdle Construction Group announced today the addition of Lori Hanning, who will serve as controller for the Nashville-based general contractor. Hanning has over 20 years of experience in accounting and will oversee the company’s financial and accounting reporting.
Hanning joins Dowdle from her role as corporate credit and collections manager at the Cook & Boardman Group, formally known as Girtman & Associates, a division of Bass Security. Before Girtman & Associates was acquired, Hanning held the position of accounting manager and director of corporate credit and collections and was responsible for the daily financial operations, human resources and formulating credit policies.
“In addition to her extensive repertoire of financial expertise, Lori brings excellent customer service to each subcontractor or client she interacts with,” said Dowdle Construction Group president and principal Glynn Dowdle. “She is a real asset to have on our team.”
Earlier in her career, Hanning served as an account manager in accounts receivable at Norvell & Wallace and quickly moved into the role of credit controller, where she oversaw all accounting and human resource functions.
Hanning received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Cumberland University. She is a member of the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) and the MT SHRM Middle TN Society for Human Resource Management, and she is an elected member of Mid-South NACM Credit Advisory Board.
