Featured Place You Want to Go: UrbanSweat | The Nations
Luxury infrared sauna and cold plunge studio UrbanSweat recently opened in The Nations, offering a unique type of therapy with many health benefits that healthcare veteran and studio owner Kristen Nichols was excited to bring to Nashville’s fastest-growing neighborhood.
Dowdle executed the build-out of the 1,500-square-foot space with architect partners SV Design. Located within Silo Studios, this was a chance for us to continue our work at the retail and office complex after completing its construction in late 2020.
UrbanSweat features six infrared saunas or “sweat rooms” and a cold plunge tub. Though simple, the space has a certain sleekness to it with clean, white finishes. A black and white mural catches your eye when you enter the lobby, and large sliding barn doors to each room line the main hallway.
As the general superintendent on the job David Stiles so perfectly put it, “Our company slogan is ‘We build places people want to go’, and this project completely embodies that. The brand-new facility is in a great location, has wonderful management and unique services, and will definitely draw people to it.”
