The Principal’s Update – July 2021
I am excited to announce that company principals Allen Buchanan and Chase Manning have joined me to create the senior management team at Dowdle Construction Group. Originally starting with us in 2010 and 2013 respectively, I have had the privilege of working with Allen and Chase as partners of the company since 2019. Their integrity, hard work and leadership have been instrumental in Dowdle’s growth, despite the tough year that the industry, and the economy as a whole, have faced.
Allen’s expertise and knowledge of the industry – and the local market, as a Nashville native – are tremendous assets to the firm. He is known for his keen problem-solving skills, and his unrelenting commitment to maintain the project schedule. Both traits are required to successfully complete work. He is comfortable working in unique construction environments, especially the adaptive reuse and historical renovation projects Dowdle has been involved with. These projects are never straightforward and require a great deal of construction knowledge and adaptability to complete. Allen has taken the lead on many of these jobs, and thanks to his ability to keep projects moving forward on schedule while keeping an eye on quality control, they’ve been a tremendous success.
Chase works behind the scenes to ensure our project management and accounting systems support our superintendents and project managers. He has the ability to manage with ease even the largest projects. Additionally, he has proven expertise in estimating, budgeting and contract administration for a wide variety of project types – including ground-up construction, renovation, design-build, tenant buildouts and site improvement – in sectors across the board. His background in business gives him a sharp eye for market insights and industry developments that will continue to contribute to Dowdle’s growth.
